This presentation was delivered to the School of Library and Information Science at San Josť State University in a series of guest lecturers by software vendors as part of the Master's Degree in Archives and Records Administration (MARA). It was delivered on November 2, 2010 by Merv Richter of Eloquent Systems Inc.
The presentation covers the use of Eloquent Records™ for both physical and e-records. It includes the ability for everyone in the office to file their own Email, Word Documents, PDFs and any other digital object that can be downloaded on the Internet.
It illustrates the use of an integrated Classification Scheme and Retention Schedule to manage timely disposition of paper as well as electronic documents; deleting the document and maintaining evidence of the process. All "holds" are accommodated.
The video describes a number of workflow processes and shows samples of government-legislated compliance reports.
You are given the option of watching the presentation as a streaming video within your browser or downloading it to your computer. The advantage of downloading is the "Full-screen" capability, which is preferable for some of the detailed screen shots.
